Polinema Library Consistently Works with the National Library to Give Readers Simple Access to Knowledge

On the occasion of the National Coordination Meeting held by the National Library at the Pullman Jakarta Central Park Hotel, Tuesday 7 March 2023, Polinema Library (in this case represented by the Deputy Director 1 of Polinema Dr. Kurnia Ekasari, SE., MM., Ak ., CA.) officially cooperates with the National Library. From this collaboration, Polinema Library is committed with the National Library to provide easy access to knowledge, build innovation and skills, facilitate access to capital through cooperation/partnership, and change people’s mindset and behavior from a lazy culture to a literate and productive society based on Social Inclusion for Welfare, Smart Solutions for Community Economic Recovery After the Covid-19 Pandemic. The following are the key points from the National Coordinating Meeting of the National Library of Indonesia:

    1. To achieve the strategic goals of national development in the library sector in 2024, which include the realization of Community Literacy and Reading Enjoyment Development with a target score of 71.3 (moderate) reading interest and a Community Literacy Development Index of 15 or a score of 71.4, the National Library and all types of libraries in Indonesia have agreed to collaborate.

    2. collaborating and cooperating to develop literacy in Indonesia by bringing people’s perspectives on the new paradigm of libraries to promote literacy together.

    3. To actualize an increase in literacy culture and based on social inclusion for community economic recovery, provincial and regency/city libraries should establish programs and activities that are coordinated and synergistic with both the aim and locus of library growth.

    4. The quality and quantity of library employees must continue to be improved at National Libraries, Province Public Libraries, and Regency/City Public Libraries in order to provide inclusive and long-lasting library services.

    5. In order to enable the community to share experiences, learn contextually, and practice skills and life skills across Indonesia, it is important to promote the realization of libraries as centers of knowledge, centers of literacy activities, centers of community activities, and centers for the promotion of culture.

    6. In order for library services to be provided promptly and to submit reports on time in compliance with statutory requirements, the Provincial/District/City Governments Receiver of Physical DAK for the Library Sub-sector in 2023 agreed to immediately implement and finish it in 2023.
